Fanvue Link Not Opening on Instagram? Test and Fix It

A fan taps your Fanvue link in Instagram, then can’t log in or pay. Your profile is fine. The browser inside Instagram is the problem. Here is how to confirm it in two minutes, what to tell a fan today, and how to fix your link for good.

Confirm it in two minutes

You can’t tell from your own phone, because you are logged in everywhere. Test it the way a new fan meets it:

  1. Send your bio link to yourself in an Instagram DM.
  2. Tap it from the DM so it opens inside Instagram.
  3. Tap Subscribe. If the password field is empty, Google sign-in is blocked, or no Apple Pay or Google Pay button appears, you have the in-app browser problem.
  4. Open the same URL in Safari or Chrome. If it works there, the cause is confirmed.

The fix for a fan, today

Fans can get out in two taps, in any app that uses an in-app browser:

  • iPhone, Instagram: tap ••• in the top-right corner, then Open in Safari.
  • Android: tap the three-dot menu, then the option to open in Chrome or your default browser.

Menu labels change between app versions, so point fans at the three-dot menu rather than an exact word.

Message you can pin in a story or send to a fan who is stuck

Having trouble logging in? Tap the ••• in the corner and choose Open in Safari (or Chrome), then try again. It works in the normal browser.

The fix for good: change your link

  1. In Linkamy, open Create link and paste your Fanvue URL as the Destination.
  2. Use the short link in your bio instead of the raw Fanvue URL.
  3. Run the two-minute test again. On Android the handoff to Chrome is automatic. On iPhone the fan sees one clear tap to continue in Safari, because iOS does not let a page open Safari on its own.

Want the iPhone tap to look like you? Add your name, photo and colours under Link page in the sidebar. Free to start, no card.

If it still fails after the change

  • Works in Safari but not in Instagram: your bio still has the old URL. Check it, and any pinned story or DM template.
  • Fails in Safari too: a different issue. Check the Fanvue profile URL and your account status.
  • Works on your phone but not a fan’s: ask them for a screenshot of what they see, and compare it with the symptoms above.
Fanvue’s stats won’t show the fans who gave up at the login screen. If subscribers feel low for the number of profile visits you expect, run this test before changing anything else.

Make the fix automatic

A Linkamy link hands the tap to Safari or Chrome so fans don’t have to hunt for a menu. Free to start, no card.
