Fix
Fanvue Payment Failing in Instagram’s Browser? Fix It
A fan who reaches your payment screen is your most qualified lead. If the payment fails inside Instagram’s browser, you lose them at the last step and never see it. Match what the fan sees to its cause, then send the right fix.

Symptom, cause, fix
- No Apple Pay or Google Pay button. The in-app browser often doesn’t expose the wallet to the page. Fix: open the page in Safari or Chrome.
- Saved card doesn’t autofill. The in-app browser doesn’t share saved cards with the phone’s browser. Fix: open in Safari or Chrome, or type the card by hand.
- The bank check (3-D Secure) never opens or never returns. It needs a pop-up or a redirect that the in-app browser handles poorly. Fix: restart the payment in the real browser.
- Asked to log in again at checkout. The in-app browser keeps a separate session from the one your fan is signed in to. Fix: open in the real browser and sign in once there.
What to send a fan who’s stuck
Sorry about that! Tap the ••• in the corner and choose Open in Safari (or Chrome), then try again. Payment works in the normal browser.
On iPhone, the menu is the three dots in the top-right corner in Instagram. Labels shift between app versions, so point to the dots.
Test your own link like a new subscriber
- Use a phone or account that isn’t signed in to Fanvue.
- DM your bio link to yourself on Instagram and tap it so it opens inside the app.
- Go as far as the payment screen. Write down which of the four symptoms above you see.
- Repeat from the real browser. If only the Instagram run fails, the cause is the in-app browser.
Seen one of those symptoms? Switch your bio to a Linkamy link and repeat the test. Free, no card.
Start freeThe fix that doesn’t depend on the fan
Put a Linkamy link in your bio instead of the raw Fanvue URL (Create link, with your Fanvue URL as the Destination). On Android the visitor lands in Chrome automatically. On iPhone they get one clear tap to continue in Safari. After that, the test above should pass.
Send fans to the browser that can pay
A Linkamy link hands the tap to Safari or Chrome before the payment screen. Free to start, no card.
